The 1975 vintage produced some remarkable bottles, some of which are now considered 50-year-old wines. Bordeaux was known for its characterful red wines, with rich flavors and long life. In addition, this year also produced some excellent vintage Port wines, which have developed into precious and rare bottles. Old wines from 1975 obviously taste completely different from the young and fruity red wines, so take this into account when considering purchasing one.
